AI-based collaborative Kubernetes troubleshooting platform operating within Slack, Teams, Discord, and Mattermost. AI Insights provide troubleshooting and operations guidance for cluster issues. Real-time alert enrichment adds K8s context to notifications. Enables ChatOps remediation — execute kubectl commands and runbooks directly from chat. Converts passive telemetry notifications into human-in-the-loop operational actions inside the collaboration platform.

Botkube is open-source ChatOps for Kubernetes with AI Insights inside Slack and Teams.
Botkube subscribes to Kubernetes events and routes alerts into Slack, Teams, Discord, or Mattermost with cluster context attached. AI Insights interpret the cluster state and explain what is wrong in plain English, and any operator can run kubectl, execute remediation playbooks, or approve changes from inside the chat thread. The open-source core is genuinely useful before any paid upgrade.
Who it's for. Platform teams of 3 to 15 engineers who effectively live in a chat tool and want operational tasks without a context switch. A common moment: a pod enters CrashLoopBackOff, the alert lands in Slack, an engineer types an explain command, gets the root-cause summary, then runs a rollout restart against the failing deployment, all in-thread.
Tradeoffs. Kubernetes only, so ECS, Lambda, and VM fleets are out of scope. Insights are bounded by what the cluster exposes and lack the cross-system correlation that purpose-built SRE platforms offer. The free tier is a single cluster only, and Teams tier (multi-cluster, AI Insights) is sales-only.
