Greptile is an AI code review agent that indexes the full repository, builds a code dependency graph, and runs multi-hop investigations across files, dependencies, and git history to produce evidence-backed PR review comments. It operates as a GitHub or GitLab App.
After indexing, each PR review chains searches through the code graph to trace how changed code relates to other parts of the system. Comments include references to the specific files and functions that informed the finding. Custom context and learnings allow teams to encode project-specific rules that persist across reviews.
The Greptile MCP server exposes the same codebase index to other AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code) for non-review queries. TREX (early access) generates tests for changed code in PRs.
