Overview

Spot by NetApp is a cloud workload automation platform built around spot instance and reserved capacity optimization. ML models analyze spot pool signals — pricing history, interruption frequency, capacity availability — across instance types and availability zones to predict interruption probability and migrate workloads before reclamation.

Three products operate independently or together. Elastigroup manages stateless cluster compute on EC2, GCE, and Azure VMs with automatic spot-to-on-demand fallback. Ocean manages Kubernetes node provisioning with the same ML-driven spot strategy plus pod bin-packing.
